Private: For Dignity Forces Removal of Child Sex Dolls

Once again stories are circulating about companies selling child sex dolls to pedophiles around the world. For Dignity pledges our support to protect the innocent and hold companies accountable for promoting and selling these life size child sex dolls.

Updated Blog from 2013:

In 2013, For Dignity discovered that DH Gate, a Chinese E-Commerce website was selling sex dolls in the life-size image of very young girls to a worldwide customer base of those seeking sex with the very young. The product was rated and reviewed with graphic descriptions and photos by pedophiles around the world. For Dignity was outraged and knew many others would be as well. Realizing the power of Facebook and Twitter, we created a social media blast calling for the immediate removal of these dolls.  Thousands of people worldwide joined the social media blitz tagging @dhgate on each post. Within 24 hours, DH Gate removed the product and pledged their stance against promoting pedophilia. Huffington Post UK was the first to write a story covering our cause and that set off a wave of international attention. For Dignity’s campaign page was being sent to thousands of people around the world! Our Facebook page received 400 new followers within four days and our phone buzzed non-stop with activity!

For the next few days, we kept the pressure on other Chinese companies Alibaba.com and Ali Express because the same products and more were being sold through their sites. Once they became aware, they pulled the dolls and issued a strong stance against the selling of pedophilia products on their site.

Although the majority of the readers understood the mission, there were those who opposed our stand, wrote hateful comments and made serious threats. Despite their opposition, we were firmly committed to protecting our children! Exhilarated and exhausted from the intensity of the week, I am so encouraged that the world responded!  In the words of Margaret Mead, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.  Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
